The Soul Thorn Bulb was introduced in chapter 12 of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, as a culmination or what’s left after yo defeat a Shinju. This happened after Kawaki killed Hidari, stealing Boruto’s victory after his perfect display of Rasengan Uzihiko. Afterward Boruto catches the fleeing soul bulb and is informed by Kashin Koji, that by using it they would be able to save Sasuke.
This was to be pleasantly interrupted by Jura‘s perfect sniping skills which led to him recapturing his fellow comrade. We later see in the next chapter, that by returning the soul bulb back to the divine tree, Hidari was reborn as if nothing happened. He remembered who he was, and what transpired in Konoha. This meant that as long as the soul bulb exists, the data stored in it will not fade. This is the same formula as what a Karma does. If it is used well it can revive the owner.
The same way a Karma is used to transfer data from one body to a vessel, the soul bulb can be used the same way. That is why Kashin Koji explained to Boruto, that it may be able to revive Sasuke. If you forgot, Sasuke is currently comatose inside of a tree that Hidari’s Shinju made. If Hidari was revived by returning the soul bulb to the tree, then the same can be applied to Sasuke. Thinking of the soul bulb as the Karma, and Hidari was born from taking informational data from Sasuke, then it means the soul bulb is essentially Sasuke’s Karma. If it has a vessel it will manifest him there, or rather his data.
This may also Lead to Sasuke regaining his Rinnegan, since Hidari has one and following the flow of data, why wouldn’t it be possible. They are essentially the same entity, so the rinnegan passing on to Sasuke wouldn’t be a stretch. On top of that, since Hidari is a personified divine tree, his chakra pools would be off the charts, meaning more power ups for Sasuke. This may even be how Sasuke joins and takes back his ‘strongest’ title in the series. Thanks for reading the article and don’t forget to comment on what you think the soul bulb is.
