After 20 chapters after awakening her Mangekyo Sharingan, Sarada finally used her abilities and by far you can call them brilliant. It was in chapter 80 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations when Sarada in a jumble of emotions because of Omnipotence, awakened the second stage of the Sharingan. Many fans since then have been theorizing on what her abilities could be but now, they have a clear answer. It has not been completely confirmed but it looks like Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan, is a Space-Time based Dojutsu. We have seen many Examples of Dojutsu’s that have Space-Time abilities, from the Six-Tomoe Rinnegan, Kakashi’s and Obito’s Kamui and even the Jougan, so this isn’t new. But it gives Sarada a clear boost in power as she is lacking in that department ever since the crazy power jumps Boruto took when he came back from the time skip. But what are her abilities exactly?
After Yodo is brought to the ground by Ryu, she is confronted by Sarada who is trying to help her at the time. Yodo states that Sarada has been hiding her power all this time and that it’s not necessary to do so at the moment. At this moment both Mitsuki and Araya have been captured by Ryu, and he is just a shy away from killing them. After Yodo convinces Sarada, who is also captured right after, to use the Love that she is concealing in her heart, Th Iron Sand that Ryu was using looses its grip of her. Ryu is astonished by this since not only did his iron sand loose grip of them, its also being attracted by a mysterious force. He looks up and there is a Singularity floating in the air absorbing his jutsu. Mitsuki looks to the side and that’s where he sees it, Sarada’s eyes have completely changed patterns, becoming the Mangekyo Sharingan.
When the leaks first came out of this, many believed that it was the Kamui that Sarada had awakened but that’s far from what’s happening here. The Kamui had two applications, one is to get in and out of the Kamui dimension, and the other is to take objects in and out of it. What Sarada is doing her has more of a Black Hole effect to it. She clearly designated Ryu’s jutsu to be the one to be sucked in by the singularity, since not everything was being taken in. This makes me believe that she has her own dimension much like the Kamui and the Daikokuten, in which she can take things in, but can’t take them out, much as how a black hole is.
If Sarada masters this power to an advanced degree, she might level the playing field with the Shinju. It will be more of a Karma application type ability( the chakra absorption), since if she designates any type of jutsu as the target, it will never reach her. She can fight without distractions this way with the singularity always above her or near her. This revelation is good and all but we have yet to see her other Mangekyo Sharingan ability. Will she get a Genjutsu type ability or will the Amaterasu get passed down to her as family tradition. Much is yet to be seen from Sarada’s bag of abilities but Chapter 21 will shed more light on that.
