The highly anticipated anime series Dragon Ball Daima is now weeks away from releasing and many fans are eager to see what AKIRA TORIYAMA left for us as his last project before his untimely death. The anime series scheduled for release on October 11, 2024, has gained a lot of hype and movement since the main trailer released a few days ago, showcasing the god tier animation and story that Akira Toriyama created for us.
Set in the DEMON REALM, Dragon Ball Daima will follow Goku as he adventures new territory with the help of Glorio, Panzy and the Supreme Kai as he attempts to fulfill a request that is still not known at this point. This is after an unknown foe turns all the Z Fighters into chibi( SMALL) versions of themselves. The timeline as seen in the trailer is mostly before Dragon Ball Super, but after the Buu Saga.
This means no Super Saiyan God or even the introduction of the Gods of Destruction and Angels, so no WHIS and BEERUS. This was likely what was going t happen since Akira Toriyama most probably wanted a new different kind of story that was more akin to the original dragon ball.
I can confidently say that this will be a wild ride for all anime fans, since Daima can be treated as an original story, ensuring enjoyability whether one is a fan of the Dragon ball franchise, or has no prior knowledge of Z or even Super.
