We all remember how shocked the One piece community was, when we found out that Catarina Devon and Van Augur were at Egghead. We still don’t know what they were doing there, but what we do know is that Catarina utilized her devil fruit to initiate Blackbeard’s plans for the future.
Catarina Devon, also known as ” The Crescent Moon Hunter“, is the user of the Mythical Zoan, the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Kyubi no Kitsune( The Nine-Tailed Fox), which gives her the ability to copy nine Persona’s of people she has touched. This gives her the ability to impersonate anyone she used the power on as we saw with Absalom on Pirate Island. This come in handy mostly if the figure copied is a person of importance. This is where Saturn comes in since if you have forgotten, he was a former Elder Planet.
Catarina Devon copied Saturn’s Persona, giving teach an upper hand when it comes to controlling and manipulating the government. But that may not be plausible now, since Saturn is dead and Garling already too his place as the new Elder, or is it? People forget that any business pertaining the Elders does not get publicly announced to the world. Heck, even the Celestial Dragons may not know that Saturn is dead and has already been replaced. And we know that Blackbeard does not know this so the scenario ay go two ways. Either Blackbeard sends Catarina to Mary Geoise and fails miserably, or uses Saturn’s face to manipulate the government below to do his bidding.
Personally I think the second option is what Oda will go for but you never know. Maybe this will be the downfall of Blackbeard’s ambitions. He may use Saturn’s face via Katarina to gain access to information that only an Elder can get, or even control certain places that are under the government. Lets say the release of prisoners from Impel down or even, shifting the powers that control Marine Headquarters. No body knows Saturn is dead so this may work perfectly. Blackbeard may also get territory via this engagement since Saturn is still a celestial Dragon and anything he says goes. We know that Blackbeard is finally making his move, after getting both Caribou and Garp, so we will just have to wait and see, what development these chess pieces will bring.
