Its been a journey since the third season of slime aired, but we are not stopping any time soon. That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime Season 4 has been officially announced and that’s not all. Studio 8Bit just announced that Tensura is getting a new season and a movie. This will be the second movie in the franchise after Scarlet Bond. We don’t know if the second movie will be canon or not, as the first one was proven to be canon by the author.
Season 3 of slime didn’t have that much action, since it focused mostly on the festival, and repercussions of Rimuru becoming a demon lord. Rimuru became a demon lord in season 2, and that shift in power in the world would of course need to be explored as to how it will affect its residents. Season 3 perfectly adapted the light novel, showcasing that a show doesn’t need to have crazy fights to be good. This just shows the author’s imagination, and perfection in writing to deliver the story’s message.
No actual release date has been revealed for both projects, but since production has started, the film may debut in fall of 2025, and season 4 in summer of 2026. These are just estimates as no actual date has been stated. A short trailer was put on YouTube, showcasing Rimuru as he will be in both these projects. The adventures and worldbuilding of Tensura is second to none, meaning season 4 will be peak as we approach the war arc….again.
